Our Services

Second Chance Learning provides educational and consulting services to at-risk individuals.

SCL is  a volunteer-run company. We typically do not charge our clients for our services and we also provide books and supplies at no cost to the individual. Oftentimes our clients are in recovery from chemical dependency and may be on parole or incarcerated. Most of these individuals have dropped out of high school by the age of 16. We try to help our clients get back on their feet by offering assistance with their educational needs. We also help them with personal needs on a case-by-case basis.

The services we provide are:

  •  All level mathematics classes and tutoring
  •  Assistance with applying and registering for college
  •  Assistance with requesting financial aid
  •  Assistance with clearing up driving records

At MCIW we run weekly two-hour all-level mathematics tutoring classes, provide educational textbooks and supplies, teach remedial college mathematics, and maintain a company mailbox for inmate correspondence.

At HUM SCL teaches a college preparation class for adults planning on taking the Accuplacer college entrance exam.

At SBLC SCL provides group tutoring services to students working towards their GED diploma.
